Our mission is to make complex issues accessible, helping the public understand what it will take for the Caribbean to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From climate change to clean energy, from gender equality to economic growth, we deliver trusted reporting, in-depth analysis, and voices from the ground.

Island Press Box is a digital media platform dedicated to environmental and climate journalism in the Eastern Caribbean. We produce original, locally grounded reporting that shows how climate change, environmental degradation, and sustainability challenges are reshaping our islands and our lives.

Founded by journalist Elesha George in 2022, Island Press Box began as a long-form journalism initiative aimed at deepening public understanding of critical issues. It has since evolved into a platform for investigative, explanatory, and solutions-driven storytelling focused on climate and the environment.

Like its predecessor, Wadadli Unplugged, IPB centres on small island developing states often on the frontlines of global crises, yet underrepresented in international media. We connect policy, science, and everyday life, producing stories that are underreported, people-centred, and grounded in data.

We also maintain a strong focus on investigative and research-driven journalism, grounded in the belief that transparency and accountability are essential to building climate resilience.
