St. John’s, Antigua – Deon Lloyd, 42, of Lower Ottos, has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Javorn Williams of Old Road.

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 2, at Mount Obama (Boggy Peak), a popular landmark in Antigua. According to police reports, Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. Lloyd, who sustained injuries during the altercation, was treated at the hospital before being taken into custody.

Authorities confirmed Lloyd’s arrest and subsequent charge in a media release issued on Friday, January 10. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance next week.
