While Sean “P. Diddy ” Combs is not on Antiguan soil, his personal jet which landed here Monday has been causing quite a stir locally and abroad since tabloid news organization TMZ tracked its flight activity through several US states and ultimately to Antigua and Barbuda.

The jet, a black Gulfstream 5 known as LoveAir LLC, is presently parked at Runway 10 – a parking space for corporate and private aircraft – at the V.C Bird International Airport.

Immigration has been tight-lipped about whether Diddy is on island while prime minister Gaston Browne reportedly told Newsweek that the American did not arrive on the flight.

Photographs of the jet parked at both the Codrington airport in Barbuda and later at the V.C Bird International Airport have surfaced, corroborating reports of its presence amidst a federal investigation into Combs. Reports suggest the aircraft’s radar signature was deactivated within seconds of landing and that the aircraft’s radar signature was reportedly turned off within seconds of touchdown.

That movement is likely, as the new Barbuda airstrip and airport which is capable of hosting private jets remains closed and inoperable. This would mean that the aircraft would have to land at the airport on the mainland of Antigua for its passengers to be properly processed.

TMZ has since reported seeing Diddy at a Miami airport, pacing outside with his phone in hand while his entourage was reportedly being questioned by police.

Diddy is currently a prime target of the US Department of Homeland Security’s human trafficking division. Allegations against Diddy include several civil lawsuits filed in New York, accusing him of sexual assault and even sex trafficking. The latest lawsuit was filed in December.

Heavily armed teams of HSI agents searched Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and the Miami area Monday – some riding in armoured vehicles, in part because authorities believe Combs employs armed private security at each of his residences.
