George Wehner has been named as the United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for St. Peter. The announcement was made moments ago in a press statement.

Wehner who previously ran in the St George constituency will contest against Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP)’s Rawdon Turner in the January 14 by-election. “Wehner has been unanimously endorsed by the St. Peter Branch, whose members applaud his demonstrated commitment to the Party and its objectives,” the release said.

UPP Political Leader Jamale Pringle echoed these sentiments, confirming Wehner’s endorsement and emphasizing the Party’s readiness for a vigorous campaign. Pringle urged constituents to revalidate their Voter ID cards promptly in preparation for the election.

Wehner has been a prominent figure within the UPP, serving as the Party’s Mobilization Officer. He first represented the UPP as a candidate in the 2018 General Election for the St. George constituency, earning national recognition for his dedication and efforts.
