PM Gaston Browne announces January 18, general elections

Residents living in Antigua & Barbuda will go to the polls on January 18, 2023 to vote for a new government.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne made the announcement at the launch of the candidates for the Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) on Monday night at the People’s Place – the ABLP’s headquarters.

Nomination day will be held on December 28, 2022.

Mr. Browne said the governor general stands ready to issue the writ of elections on Tuesday 20, December, 2022. Parliament was dissolved effective Friday 16, December 2022, on the advice of prime mister Browne to His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua & Barbuda.
