Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting incident on Redcliffe Street that claimed the life of 22-year-old Javaughn Joseph of Jennings and left Kejauni Adams of Parham with a gunshot wound.

According to the police, the incident reportedly occurred around 3 am on Monday, December 16, when an unknown male discharged a firearm, striking both men. Joseph sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen, while Adams was shot in the back of his neck. Both were transported to the hospital, where Joseph was pronounced dead at 3:36 am. Adams was treated and later discharged.
