One of the men who police sought for allegedly killing their partner in two separate cases of domestic violence was successful in committing suicide before being captured. Police in Dominica, found Marshall Jean Jacques hanging from a tree in the woods of Morne Prosper on Sunday morning, a day after issuing a search for him.
He is accused of killing Avonelle Charles, the mother of his children on the eve of the New Year.
It is one of two cases of domestic violence related killings which occurred in less than 24 hours in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
The police said the incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday morning when the mother of seven who is a market vendor was preparing to sell produce. The couple is reported to have a long history of violent domestic incidents.

Several hours prior to her murder, at around 11 a.m. on December 30, Velma Valmond, a well-known female doctor was killed in Goodwill by her boyfriend Alexan Alexander.
He attempted to ingest some sort of poisonous substance. He remains alive after being transported for treatment to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
