Ivor Bird, the owner of Grenville Radio, trading as ZDK Radio, has passed away. The well-known media proprietor and son of Antigua and Barbuda’s first Prime Minister, Sir Vere Cornwall Bird, was found dead at his home earlier tonight.

Bird, who was the father of politician Sean Bird, played a significant role in the media landscape of Antigua and Barbuda. He was also the younger brother of Sir Lester Bird, another former prime minister who left an indelible mark on the nation’s history.
